What is Partners in Care?
Partners in Care is a service credit exchange program designed to create community by linking elderly and disabled adults with neighbors who volunteer their time to help with occasional tasks and errands. Participants may provide services, receive services, or both. For each hour of service donated by volunteers, an hour of service credit is earned. That credit may be used at a later time or donated back to the program for others in need.
Services are matched to the individual's needs and may include grocery shopping, transportation, handy man help, yard work or friendly visits. Participants are encouraged to utilize their individual talents, interests and creativity as Partners in Care. Partners in Care assists elderly and disabled adults to remain independent in their homes and creates community through the service exchange concept.
